Job Description

We at Advanced Automation are looking for Junior Power Engineers to join our office in Gothenburg. As an employee at AFRY, you will have the opportunity to work as a consultant for many of our exciting clients in the region, as well as be part of projects driven in-house. Our section offers you exciting and challenging tasks in a friendly team that gladly welcomes more power colleagues. Together, we have a broad and deep competence that allows us to help both our clients and each other succeed and develop. We are experiencing a high demand for our services and have many interesting projects underway.

You will work on various types of projects and assignments, which will be guided by your skills, the client's needs, and your personal ambition and development plan. With us, you will have the opportunity to work with:

• Feasibility studies and investigations
• Tender documents
• Short-circuit calculations and selective plans
• Design & commissioning
• Project management

There are also good opportunities to work in other power-related areas such as relay testing, measurement and analysis of power quality, and inspections.

The Electric Power section at AFRY in Gothenburg currently consists of a group of 14 employees working in a specialist group within power engineering. We manage advanced power projects for our external clients that range from heavy petrochemical operations to vehicle development/manufacturing to complex facilities in hospitals. We also support the various divisions within AFRY with our specialist competence in power engineering. This means we are present within AFRY's entire client base, which is incredibly exciting. We continue to see a strong interest in our services and would like to further develop these – and we hope you are one of the candidates we are looking for!

Qualifications

You have a genuine interest in technology and enjoy taking on new assignments with both drive and commitment. You value an outgoing work environment where you can build relationships and feel responsible for your tasks.

To succeed and thrive in your role as a power engineer, we would like you to have:

• Post-secondary education in power engineering or equivalent knowledge gained from practical work experience.
• Experience in contracting activities.
• Have a driver's license B as travel may be a natural part of your role at times.
• Fluent in Swedish and English, both spoken and written

If you also have practical experience as a service/industrial electrician or are accustomed to “rolling up your sleeves” practically when needed, we consider that an advantage.
